Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Specialist to join their team in North Carolina. This role offers flexible part-time hours, making it ideal for individuals looking to balance work with other commitments. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing full cycle payroll and ensuring accurate processing of garnishments and deductions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full cycle payroll for the organization.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of garnishments and deductions.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to maintain accurate employee records.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll reports for management.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a payroll position.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required Work Hours

The position offers flexible part-time hours from Monday to Friday, allowing for a work-life balance that suits the candidate's needs.
